Both advanced bookings and tickets at the ticket office can be purchased for either a 30- or a 60-minute timeline. These timelines always mean the actual entrance time interval. After entry, visitors can spend unlimited time at the exhibition. This is the only way organizers can ensure that visitors can enter continuously, without lengthy waiting times.
The number of visitors that can be granted entry is limited for each timeline, thus ensuring that the exhibition can be enjoyed in a comfortable, uncrowded way. The waiting time depends on the number of people who have purchased tickets for the given day.
Waiting can largely be avoided if you buy tickets for a less busy timeline, such as the morning and evening hours, between 6pm and 7pm on weekdays.

No. We aim to avoid this by allowing visitors to wait in the foyer. Since the capacity of the venue is limited, in case of extreme cold we ask visitors to phone in advance for more information about what time they should arrive to avoid waiting outside.
The exhibition is open from July 20, 2017 every day (including Sundays and holidays) from 09:00 to 08:00. The ticket office is open from 08:30 to 18:30 every day.
Based on our experience, a minimum of 1-1.5 hours should be allowed in order for visitors to see every object and to listen to the entire recording of the audio guide.
You can buy discounted tickets with a valid student or pensioner card, bearing an identity photograph, that was issued in Hungary. The card should be shown at the entrance! Without such a card, a discounted ticket cannot be issued!
Children under the age of 6 can enter free of charge.
Children aged 6-14 years can enter the exhibition with a discounted children’s ticket.
With the family ticket a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children can enter.
The discount price for groups of at least 10 people is only valid if the visit is booked and confirmed at least 2 days prior to the visit.

The entire area of the exhibition is accessible for the disabled.
At the exhibition there is an elevator for the disabled. Please ask the ticket-collectors for its whereabouts and instructions for use. All of the staff will be happy to help.
No discounted tickets are available for ministry, press, teachers, museum staff, or with other cards.
It is prohibited to smoke, use mobile phones, in the entire area of the exhibition so as not to disturb others. It is also prohibited to take food, drinks, any kind of animal, or dangerous objects into the exhibition! We would like to ask for the understanding of parents as we cannot allow babies or children in prams and strollers in the exhibition area. We can only take responsibility for personel valuables left in the cloakroom.
Yes, the fee is HUF200/clothing item. For security reasons it is compulsory to hand in backpacks.
It is strictly prohibited to take photos or videos of the displayed items, and this policy is enforced by the staff members of the exhibition. You will have the option to take photos at the end of the exhibition, in the photo booth designated for that purpose.
Signs and captions at the exhibition are in both Hungarian and English.

Neither tickets bought at the ticket office, nor tickets bought in advance can be redeemed.
Depending on the capacity, the organizers might allow you to enter the exhibition in the next time band.
